Thur 23. Jan (16:30-18:00) HOW HAS CLUB MUSIC IN ANGOLA EVOLVED OVER TIME? - LECTURE WITH CLUB DIASPORA
> Link to event page

In this lecture, MultiTati and Love Pump - the founders of Klubb Diaspora - take us on a journey through kizomba, afro-house, kuduro and other traditional genres. There will be a particular focus on music from Angola, with a dip into music from other countries that have Portuguese as their official language.
Fri 24. Jan (16:30-18:00) THE ROLE OF SOUTH AFRICAN DANCE MUSIC UNDER APARTHEID- LECTURE WITH ESA AND KAMAZU

> Link to event page

South African producer Esa Williams and artist Kamazu will explore the relationship between music and politics in South Africa at Jungelfest. The talk dives deep into how music has historically served as a powerful tool for social change and expression - especially during key moments in the country's history.
Sat 25. Jan (12:30-15:00) HOW TO CREATE GREAT COMMUNITIES AROUND MUSIC?
> Link to event page

For this panel discussion, we have invited a solid group of bridge builders who actively work to bring people together and create a sense of belonging around musical projects. In this conversation, the panel will exchange experiences and together explore what qualities are needed to create cohesion and good “communities” around music.
