At this meeting we will be visited by Ali Khteeb and Keith Jones from the Palestinian village of Deir Hanna in the Galilee. They were there last autumn for the olive harvest.

On Saturday 5 April, there will be a big bazaar with several of the blankets and other items knitted at the meetings becoming part of the profits. We will tell you more about the planning of the bazaar at the meeting.

This evening you can also join in knitting patches that will become a solidarity blanket with a heart for Palestine or other solidarity knitwear. We have materials and it is simple knitting and crocheting. Feel free to bring 3 - 3.5 mm knitting needles or 2.5 - 3.5 mm crochet hooks. If you have wool yarn in red, white, green and black that you would like to donate to the Knit for Handala - Palestine shop, you are welcome to bring it along. Extra equipment and yarn is available for anyone who wants to contribute to the solidarity blanket. If anyone has newborn knitwear that can be sent with Norwac to Lebanon and the West Bank, you are welcome to bring it to the meeting or deliver it to the Handala store.

There will also be knitting meetings on Thursday 20 February at 17:00 - 20:00 and Thursday 20 March at 17:00 - 20:00 at Bergen Assembly.
