Learning Circle: Black Queer Artists

For Reclaim Pride, Touki is hosting a learning circle on queer black artists. Touki will present 3-4 contemporary and non-contemporary black queer artists in different mediums. Afterwards we will open a discussion bout the artists. The purpose of the discussion is to reflect on the black queer experience and how the artists express the entanglement of queerness and blackness in their art. We will also open for people to present their favorite black queer artists!

In this discussion, we encourage black people, especially queer black people to participate. The learning circle is still open for everybody, and it’s okay to just come and listen!
