“Thob Sitti”—Knitting for Palestine

This evening is “Thob Sitti” in collaboration with It's hard to be an Arab. There will be knitting, movies, conversations and food. Thob Sitti means grandmother's Palestinian dress in Arabic. We will get to know Palestinian embroidery, and there will be conversations about memories and embroidery in Palestine. If you have something that is Palestinian embroidery, feel free to bring and share your story.

You are also invited to knit patches that will become a solidarity blanket with a heart for Palestine. We have materials and it is simple knitting and crocheting.

Feel free to bring knitting needles 3 - 3.5 or crochet hooks 2.5 - 3.5. If you have wool yarn in red, white, green and black that you would like to donate to the Knit for Handala - Palestine store, you are welcome to bring it. Extra equipment and yarn is available for anyone who wants to contribute to the solidarity blanket. The blanket we make will be sold via the Handala store in Bergen in support of their solidarity work.

We serve snacks and cakes from Palestine.
