Welcome to this autumn's second knitting meeting for Palestine!

We're lucky enough to have Camilla Grimsby with us, who has been a companion in Palestine* with us. She was a companion in Palestine last autumn and tells us about her stay there.

This evening you can help knit patches that will become a solidarity blanket with a heart for Palestine or other solidarity knitting work. We have materials and it is simple knitting and crocheting.

Feel free to bring knitting needles 3 - 3.5 or crochet hooks 2.5 - 3.5. If you have wool yarn in red, white, green and black that you would like to donate to the Knit for Handala - Palestine shop, you are welcome to bring it. Extra equipment and yarn are available for anyone who wants to contribute to the solidarity blanket. The blanket we make will be sold via the Handala store in Bergen for their solidarity work.
We serve snacks and cakes from Palestine.
Welcome to the event!

*Camilla was a companion in the Eappi programme (Ecumenical Accompaniment Program in Palestine and Israel. Eappi is run by the World Council of Churches. In Norway, the programme is coordinated by Norwegian Church Aid. The companions live and work in international teams in vulnerable Palestinian communities. The programme supports and cooperates with Palestinian and Israeli partners who are working peacefully to end the occupation. The companions monitor and document violations of human rights and international law, and provide a protective presence at schools and elsewhere in the local community. In addition, the companions share their experiences in Norway. The programme has people from all over the world placed in selected cities in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
