Open meeting: For an Anti-Imperialist March 8th - Combat Violence Against Women

Comrades.
We invite your organisation/members to join us in marking an anti-imperialist March 8th.

We are living in a time when gender equality is in reverse, which is a warning sign for all women. In addition, we see government after government now daring to say that they will prioritise war over welfare and occupation over freedom and human rights.

We see Palestine, Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, Sudan, Congo, Yemen, Lebanon and Iraq as some of the countries that are already under attack and/or occupation. Nor does the war between the superpowers in Ukraine seem to be coming to an end. There, too, the working class is being killed while the ruling class fills its pockets.
In addition, we see that the imperialists are also brutal towards their own citizens who rise up in protest. Brutality is happening everywhere, including here at home in Norway, for example, where the three Palestinian activists, whose case has been appealed by the state to the Supreme Court, are all women.

When imperialism launches a frontal attack on humanity, anti-imperialists must rise up in resistance and struggle; we must win the streets and squares.
In an imperialist system, we will always see violence against women as a political tool, so it is important to focus on this at all times, especially on 8 March, and we therefore invite you to a demonstration under the slogan ‘Fight Violence Against Women’ on 8 March at 12:30 p.m. at Bibliotekplassen. After speeches and slogans, we will march together to Torgallmenningen, where we will join the main event, which starts at 2 p.m.

We would also like to invite you to an open meeting on 6 March at 6 p.m. at Bergen Assembly, also on the theme of Combating Violence Against Women!
