Welcome to the screening of this relevant and heartwarming film, Roots by Mustafa Nabih. In this film, we get to know a married couple who both came to Gaza as refugees in 1948. We follow their history and life in Gaza and get to know their family who live scattered all over the world. The film provides an opportunity to understand and talk about what is happening in Gaza today.
After the film, there will be room for a conversation about the film and life in Gaza with Hanne Edøy Lossius led by Laila Abu Qatma. This program is supported by Bergen Municipality. The film is shown at Bergen Assembly, Halfdan Kjerulfs gate 4. We will serve some tea/coffee and cake.

It is hard to be Arab is a project initiated by Motaz al Habbash. Through the project, we want Norwegians and others to become familiar with Arab culture and society through, among other things, music, art, film and language. Motaz al Habbash is himself from Palestine and has lived in Norway since many years . He works with culture and art projects in Norway and the Middle East
